The Montreal Greek Film Festival (MGFF) was founded in 2009 as a platform for Greek film directors, producers, screen writers and actors to showcase their work in Montreal. In its first 4 years of existence, the Greek community as well as the Greater Montreal community at large developed an interest in Greek foreign films, and the festival rapidly grew in size and popularity.
In association with the prestigious New York City Greek Film Festival, the Montreal Greek Film Festival returns this year under the auspices of the Hellenic Republic and in partnership with the Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal (HCGM). Our exiting lineup includes some of the very best contemporary Greek films from around the world.
